Computerised scoresheet success in A grade women UPDATED

The beauty is in the additional information the new system allows us to capture and display and we hope, the extra interest this generate about your basketball game.

Congratulations to Eleanor Hewitt of "Hoops I did It" who with 45 points from 6 games is leading the points table.

We can see from the match statistics, that with a 2 point basketball with under three minutes to play in their game agains Focus Magizine, last night, she was able to snatch 'victory for her team from the jaws of defeat'.  Her basket put the "Hoops" team in a narrow 14 to 13 point lead - a lead which they defended until the end of the game.

Never before have we been able to give you a play-by-play record of your game to allow you to relive the agony and the ectasy of last night's game.

Our Greenhouse Tavern A Grade women's comp. provides us with a unique opportunity to trial the new Stadium Scoring.  Last night the teams did away with the paper scoresheet completely and only used the tablet based system.

We had a few anxious moments but they were quickly resolved.

There are still a few glitches with the system, which we are ironing out with the product developers with the aim of spreading the new system across more grades in 2015.

Category Leaders - From the main results screen, click on 'season stats' tab at the top.  This will show the leaders in the competition for total points scored, three, two and free throw points, and fouls

Team stats - To see team and player statistics, go to the 'results' section of the website and click on the team name.  A new team website will open showing player results.  By clicking on the header "statistics' at the top of that page, you can  view more statistics.

Play-by-Play - Go to the match result and then click on the "match centre' button on the right hand side.
Here you can find a game summary or a minute-by-minutre record of every foul, free throw, two and three pointer for the game.
You'll be able to relive the whole game over and over again.

Stadium Scoring
will be gradually introduced into other senior and junior grades in early 2015, enabling all players to track their total points and fouls during the season.

Click on the 'pdf' below for a more detailed look at Stadium Scoring.
Consider going to this Youtube link to see a short video on how the new application runs.

We hope you enjoy the additional detail we are able to provide to you through the use of Stadium Scoring and we look forward to working with you to introduce it more widely in 2015.
