Quite simply, if you are a registered player, coach, referee or administrator of CHBA then YOU are CHBA.

The Association is lead by a Board of Management elected by the members for a two year term on a rotating basis.
The constitution of CHBA allows the Board, once elected, to appoint up to two other directors.
The current board is:

   Secretary: Meredith Martin
    Treasurer: Tracey Fasala
    Board Member: Naomi Markham (Reps.)
    Board Member: Leisa Mehai (Reps.)
    Board Member: Rob Hoy (Competitions)
    Board Member: Judy Smith

The announcement that Meredith Martin is the Association Secretary is fresh news - a result of a decision taken at last night's meeting of the Board.

Naomi Markham, who up until last night had been filling the Secretary's position in an acting capacity, asked to be relieved because of heavy work and family demands.

CHBA members should be heartened to learn that all members of the Board have a close involvement with a diverse cross-section of the Association's activities.

Parents of participants, team coaches and managers, domestic and representative programs and our referee programs are all among the ways in which members of the board participate in CHBA activities.

President Baldwin and the Board would be interested in hearing from anyone who belives they can assist in the running of CHBA by joining the Board.

The Board acknowledges that in the areas of Sponsorship, Marketing and Promotion, Communication, Business acumen and the Coaching portfolio, the work of the Board and the activities of CHBA could be enhanced by the recruitment of appropriate qualified and experienced board members.

The Board exists to represent the interest of members, so Board members are keen to hear from you if you have issues with the way CHBA conducts its activities or suggestions about how things might be improved.
