CODE OF CONDUCT

To all Teachers, Sports Coordinators, Coaches & Parents

Hutt Valley Basketball Association has changed its directional vision; it is more community focussed and wants to achieve a great culture for all when they come into the stadium. We have a strong commitment to the safety and wellbeing of all children participating, all volunteers assisting and officials working as they are the core of this being a fun, safe game.

Basketball provides a safe learning programme for our children under supervision to practise becoming a team player, accepting other persons strengths and weaknesses, individual challenges during the game and to learn to abide by rules.

Sportsmanship and friendship is very important as these juniors grow up they will all encounter and potentially play alongside each other in basketball, other sports codes and may end up at the same schools as they transition out of primary, to intermediate then on to college.

Partnerships are essential when living in a community, so we offer our thanks to you for supporting basketball and offering this to your school children as an option, it is a great sport with many changes happening that can only be positive and we look forward to continuing seeing the milestones your school children meet and achieve whilst playing.

Any feedback is always welcomed as this allows us to know what is going well and equally what we may need to factor into our vision and strategy moving forward.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
