The guest speakers for next Friday’s AFL Goldfields/Riddell District FNL Women in Football Luncheon have been confirmed, with a fantastic panel of speakers covering all sections of the sporting world.
The luncheon, which will be held at Tabcorp Park in Melton on Friday 25th July from 12:30pm onwards, has been extremely popular when held as an individual league event over recent years, and the 2014 version with AFL Goldfields and the Riddell District FNL combining to host this event should be just as, if not more, popular.
The afternoon will be headlined by world aerial skiing champion Jacqui Cooper, one of the most well-known female identities in Australia (and one of the best speakers to boot) and AFL goal umpire Chelsea Roffey, who is extremely well known in footballing circles and who has worked in the sporting industry for a number of years.
We’ve also confirmed a fantastic Women in Sport panel, with 2012 London Paralympic Gold and Silver medallist Kelly Cartwright, Melbourne Vixens netballer Liz Watson and NSW Swifts netballer (and former Vixen) and successful businesswoman Sarah Wall all attending on the day to give an insight into sport at the highest level.
Tickets are just $50, which includes a three-course meal, beverages and all entertainment on the day, which can be purchased through your club secretary or by calling Shaun Kelly on 0409 072 403. Raffles and silent auctions will also be run on the day, with proceeds going to the Ballarat Centre for Breast Cancer Research.
Tickets are selling quickly, so be sure to confirm your place today!
