The Melton Toyota Riddell District Football Netball League has been forced to make a venue change to the 2014 fixture.
After the recent stretch of inclement weather in the area and the condition of Riddell’s Creek Recreation Reserve after last week’s match against Romsey, the RDFNL and the Riddell FNC announce that this week’s football matches against Lancefield will be played at the Goonawarra Recreation Reserve, 155 Lancefield Road, Sunbury.
Please note that this fixture change affects only the senior and reserves football matches, which will be played at the normally scheduled times of 12:00pm (reserves) and 2:00pm (seniors). All netball matches will still be played at the Riddell’s Creek Recreation Reserve as fixtures.
The Melton Toyota RDFNL and the Riddell FNC wishes to thank the East Sunbury Football Club (and in particular ESFC President Andrew Blight) and Matthew McLellan at the Hume City Council for their assistance in this venue change.
The playing surface at Riddell’s Creek Recreation Reserve will be closely monitored over the coming weeks as to its suitability to host Riddell’s final home game of the 2014 season in Round 16 against Rupertswood
