AFL Goldfields is pleased to advise 2 new appointments to the AFL Goldfields Regional Administration Centre (RAC).
1) Appointment of new RDFNL Operations Manager
AFL Goldfields is thrilled to announce the appointment of Steven Williams as the new RDFNL Operations Manager.
Steven is a 46yo resident of Gisborne, and has a very impressive professional and football background. He worked for 26 years in the finance & IT sector, with the last 20 years being for Hewlett Packard. Steve has served in a number of senior roles, and for the period 2011 - 2015 he was the Account Business Manager for HP servicing American Express.
Steven has been heavily involved in the Gisborne Rookies JFC over the past few years, both as a Junior Coach, Coaching Co Ordinator and has also been heavily involved in the formation of the newly formed Gisborne Giants FNC.
We are delighted to have someone with Steve's professional and football skills and experience joining AFL Goldfields, and we are positive that he will provide a high level of service to the RDFNL member clubs, Board and the greater RDFNL community.
Steven will commence with AFL Goldfields on Wednesday 17th February, and will be based at RDFNL House at Arnold's Creek. We are also very appreciative of former RDFNL Operations Manager returning to our ranks on Thursday 18th and Friday 19th February to complete a handover to Steven.

2) Appointment of AFL Goldfields Football Development Manager
AFL Goldfields is also pleased to announce that long serving AFL Goldfields employee Liam Brady will be appointed as the new AFL Victoria appointed Football Development Manager (FDM) servicing the AFL Goldfields region, and in particular the Maryborough Castlemaine District FNL and the Central Highlands FL Clubs.
Liam is 31yo and has been employed with the Ballarat FNL "Hub" and AFL Goldfields RAC since November 2009. Liam has an extensive knowledge of the regional football netball landscape, and is well known and highly regarded across the AFL Goldfields region and within AFL Victoria.
Liam has served in a variety of roles over this period, including appointments as the MCDFNL & Lexton Plains FNL Operations Manager, the BFUA Operations Manager, and overseen a number of AFL game development programs across the region. e.g overseeing the Ballarat PS Lighting Premiership program, BFNL Interleague programs, the FNQ development trip, AFL 9s, various education and training programs (e.g Fair Game Respects matters), etc.
Liam previously worked for the AFL Northern Territory from 2007 to 2009 in a number of roles, including managing the AFL Central Australia competition, the Barkly Football League, the NT thunder Under 16 and Under 18 program, as well as establishing an AFL competition on Groote Island.
Liam will commence as AFL Goldfields FDM on Monday 29th February, and will be based at Saxon House.
AFL Goldfields will immediately advertise for a BFUA Operations Manager / Administrative Officer to replace Liam and we will aim to fill this position ASAP.
