AFL Goldfields will be holding an information session for players and volunteers interested involved in female football competitions in the Region to outline a blueprint for the growth of female participation in Australian Rules Football:

The schedule for the session will be as follows:
6:15pm: Players, clubs, parents and volunteers arrive at Saxon House
6:30pm: OFFICIAL WELCOME TO EVERYONE
6:35pm: An overview of female football in the Region.
6:45pm: AFL Victoria to introduce new structure for localised VWFL competition.
6:50pm: Competition structures currently available across all age groups for females and where we expect growth.
6:57pm: Building a foundation for female participation at each club.
7:05pm: Strategies for clubs to maximize female participation using their own resources.
7:15pm: Questions
7:20pm: Opportunity for players and volunteers to register with clubs.
7:30pm: End of Session
INFORMATION SESSION:
Some of the areas that will be covered during the course of the information session are as follows:
- An overview of the history of female football in the Region.
- Proposed structure for the VWFL competition and probable start date
- Building a productive relationship between AusKick, Junior Football and Youth Girls Coordinators
- Outlining a preferred structure for female football in the Region and what competition structures might look like in 5 years time.
- How clubs can generate their own players from within their own club structures.
