Macedon continued its perfect start to the season with a hard fought 22-point win over Lancefield in the wet at Tony Clarke Reserve.
The Cats kicked away to a four and half goal lead mid-way through the third term and Lancefield could not land that telling blow to swing momentum in its favour.
With light drizzle covering the deck, Macedon was able to streak away with the opening goal of the match through Casey Summerfield in the opening four minutes.
Jon Kent, who was held goalless in his previous outing, made his presence felt on the game with a confident conversion from a free-kick just minutes later to level the scores.
Elusive forward Myles Dorman weaved his magic from the boundary line. Dorman's shot at goal came from hard up on the boundary line in the left forward pocket that swung beautifully from left to right to put the Tigers in front.
Lancefield's lead lasted nine minutes, it's only time in front for the day as Macedon's Aaron Christiansen kicked back-to-back goals to push his team ahead by six points at the opening change.
