Diggers Rest is the only undefeated side after nine rounds of the Riddell District Football League season.
But although the Burras’ winning streak remains intact, it didn’t come without a fight, as Wallan got closer to them than any other side this season.
The Burras appeared to be on track for another big win when they led by 20 points at quarter-time.
And even though it was a more even second quarter, the Burras extended the led to 30 points.
The Magpies cut back the margin slightly after half-time but couldn’t get close enough and the Burras won 13.10 (88)-9.13 (67).
Five players each kicked two for the Burras, while Jamie Lobb and Matthew Krul were the best.
