MACEDON just clung on to victory against a fast-finishing Romsey in Round 11 of the Riddell District Football League on Saturday.
The Cats held a 30-point lead at the main break but managed just two goals in the second half as their healthy lead evaporated.
The margin was reduced to 21 points at three-quartertime before Romsey continued to throw everything it had at the home side in the final term at Tony Clarke Reserve.
But the Redbacks ultimately came up short, Macedon scraping to an 11.9 (75) to 10.12 (72) victory.
