THE rubbery figures from Aurora Stadium last Saturday night are now under scrutiny of Tasmanian Devils' accountant Brett Harris.
AFL Tasmania chairman Guy Abel wants to know why 3628 people went through the turnstiles, but only 1029 paid.
Since the gate-takings debacle was revealed on Tuesday, football followers have been wondering what went on as the Devils played Springvale.
"I have requested a review of the figures from the last fixture at Aurora Stadium as any fiscally-minded and economically responsible chairman of any organisation would do,'' Mr Abel said.
He expects to have the answer next week.
The overall attendance figure included players, support staff and officials from NTFL curtain-raiser matches, as well as Auskick participants across a marathon day of football.
Meanwhile, Bellerive Oval is expected to host a bumper crowd for the Devils' round 13 clash with North Ballarat, with a spot in the VFL's top eight up for grabs.
With the Devils looking to decide between North Hobart and Bellerive as a future home, a bumper turnout could swing things in favour of the modern stadium.
