THE resurgent Devils could face a Melbourne-aligned Sandringham side full of some of the AFL Demons' biggest names in Melbourne on Sunday.
Melbourne coach Neale Daniher has warned senior Demons may be axed in an attempt to stop the four-game AFL losing streak.
But Devils coach Mathew Armstrong said his side had never been better placed to take on such an opposition.
"They have got close to a full list with only one player, Brad Miller, missing,'' Armstrong said yesterday.
"They have the potential to be chock-a-block full of Melbourne-listed players.
"That is great. It is going to be a great challenge for us.
"Our boys are playing good footy and this just raises the bar again.
"We have got to cope with that. We can't do anything about it.
"If we are not ready to tackle that challenge now, we never will be.
"I think we are because we have won four in a row, we are in good form and the boys are confident -- it is a big challenge.''
Tassie Mariners star Todd Grima is under an injury cloud after reinjuring his ankle.
Grima originally hurt it before the national under-18 championships, but recovered through intensive rehabilitation to kick 14 goals in the three games.
But the injury flared again after he played for the Northern Bombers in the NTFL on Saturday.
Running defender Shane Wager is battling a foot injury, while star wingman Ben Atkin has a tight calf muscle.
Armstrong said veteran utility Leigh Walker was likely to come back into the team and ruckman Markham Johnson was also a chance to return.
