The President of the North Hobart Football Club GUNNS NORTH HOBART DEMONS, Mr John Leedham, announced today that club 2003 premiership player and former Tassie Devil Brent Williams has been appointed club Coach for the 2006 and 2007 seasons.
Williams, 28 years 180 cms 90 kgs, has played 64 games for the club and was runner for the club best and fairest award in 2000. He was vice captain of inaugural Tassie Mariners Team and a member of the South Launceston FC NTFL Premiership Team in 1998. Williams, also a member of the 1999 North Launceston Grand Final team, has represented the South on two (2) occasions.
Mr Leedham said that Brent Williams, a teacher at New Town High School, had coached numerous Development Squads for Football Tasmania, was assistant coach of Friends Football Club in 2001 and assistant coach of the Tasmanian Under 16 Team at the 2003 National Championships. The Board are delighted to secure the services of Williams with his playing and coaching experience.
A meeting with current and intending senior list, Under 17 and 19 team players will be held in the North Hobart Football Club Social Clubrooms NORTH HOBART next Wednesday 9 November commencing at 6.00 pm.
Mr Leedham also said that the appointment of other coaching positions, including Reserves team, Under 19 and Under 17 team coaches, would be finalised shortly.
