Footy fans can look forward to a double-header weekend of TRUenergy VFL action over the Queen's Birthday long weekend.
On Saturday the SEN commentary team travels across Bass Strait for the first time this season to call the Tasmanian Devils, who will be trying to break a four-game losing streak against the Werribee Tigers. Both teams have played eight matches for three wins and will be desperate for victory to keep their 2006 finals hopes alive.
The SEN team will also be at Box Hill on Monday when the Hawks host the Bendigo Bombers, with the evenly-matched sides both showing great improvement after slow starts to the season.
Tune in to hear interviews with coaches and leading players from VFL clubs, as well as AFL personalities.
Liam Pickering and David "the Ox" Schwartz will take up the call, with Heath Buck again in the stats chair, while Mark Stone and Matt Lee see capture the colour from the boundary line.
During the afternoon's coverage we will go around the grounds and hear score updates from other TRUenergy VFL matches, as well as taking your calls on 9429 - 1116 or emails at
vfl@sen.com.au
In addition to our SEN 1116 Match of the Day don't forget to listen in every Wednesday night between 9-10pm for "The VFL Hour", hosted by Bruce Eva.
Each week you will hear from stars of the TRUenergy competition, fans' opinions on 9429 - 1116, plus we will take a trip down memory lane with the stars from yesteryear with our segment "When Sunday Was King".
