As a lead-up to Richmond's Round 12 match against Hawthorn at Launceston's Aurora Stadium next Sunday (June 18), the Club will be conducting a series of junior football clinics and special player appearances throughout the Apple Isle.
The Tigers' first Tasmanian Junior Player Superclinic will take place on Thursday, June 15 from 11am to noon at West Park in Burnie. That afternoon, there will be a Community Club visit to Deloraine Junior Football Club from 3.30pm-4.15pm, followed by one to Launceston Junior Football Club from 5pm-6pm.
On Friday, June 16, the `Travelling Tiger Show' moves to Hobart, with a Junior Player Superclinic being held at North Hobart Oval from 2pm-3pm. The following day (Saturday, June 17), there will be a Junior Player Superclinic at Aurora Stadium, 9.45am for 10am-11am.
That afternoon (1.30pm-3pm), Richmond stars Matthew Richardson, Nathan Brown, Joel Bowden and Shane Tuck will be making an appearance at the Crazy John's store in Brisbane Street, Launceston, before the team's training session at Aurora Stadium. This is a wonderful opportunity for Tiger fans to get front and square with some of their Yellow and Black heroes.
Finally, on the Sunday morning from 10am-10.45am, the Tigers will visit the South Launceston Auskick Centre at Queechy High School in Launceston.
Talented young Richmond defender Will Thursfield, who is currently recuperating from a knee reconstruction, will run the various Superclinics, along with Tiger great Dale Weightman and the Club's Operations Co-ordinator Mark Blundell.
