AFL Tasmania has announced the final 8 inductees for 2006 to be inducted into the Tasmanian Football Hall of Fame. A total of 32 persons will be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year.
The official induction of the Tasmanian Football Hall of Fame will take place on 7 July at a gala function at Wrest Point Casino.
The following inductees are available to assist with media announcements:
Player inductee - Athol Webb
Player Inductee - Ray Stokes
Umpire Inductee - Nigel Hyland
Media Inductee - David McQuestin
Highlights of their tremendous achievements in football are attached.
Other inductees announced today are champion Scottsdale and Melbourne forward Athol Webb and the late Mr Ernie Mathews (NTFUA) for his services to umpiring and the late Mr Bob Parsons (New Town / Penguin / Glenorchy) and the late Mr Jim `Dodger' Williams (Launceston) for their contribution as players.
