WHEN and WHERE
Please note we will be conducting a media conference tomorrow Wednesday 25 October at North Hobart Oval at 11am.
WHAT
Retired South Australian football star Ken Eustice, who captained his state and won the SANFL best and fairest Magarey Medal, has determined to return his much prized state guernseys (where in the tradition of the day he swapped with his own) to their original owners.
Following the final game of the 1966 Australian National Football Carnival conducted in Hobart the South Australian exchanged guernseys with a Tasmanian ruckman who wore number 2. This has been identified as ex-Glenorchy ruckman John Kingston.
With the assistance of AFL Tasmania and another South Australian football legend in Peter Carey, John Kingston has been located and will receive back his only state guernsey after 40 years.
The guernsey will be presented by Peter Carey and Scott Wade. As well, Peter Carey will present John with a copy of Peter Cornwall's book "Pound For Pound", an assisted biography of Ken Eustice.
