Having locked in grand final appearances in their debut season last Friday, the Cape York House Eagles could afford to have a laugh at training last night.
Both the Under-15 and Colts sides progressed straight through to the big one and will have this weekend off as clubs fight for the right to face them.
Training took a peculiar twist as a result, each teammate charged with dressing another member of their side in an "op shop" outfit.
Their budget was $5.00
"It was a bit of fun and it gets them out in the community too," Colts coach and AFL Cape Your House program manager Rick Hanlon said.
"For both teams to be in the final in their first season is amazing and to be honest, I didn't expect it."
Tonight Manunda, who were upset by the Eagles last weekend, will play Port Douglas for the last spot in the Colts decider at 7.15pm at Cazalys.
Pyramid Power will meet Saints in the under-15 preliminary final from 12.25pm on Sunday at Watsons Oval.
