The fund aims to provide cash and opportunities to local organisations and individuals that strive to make a difference in the community.
Each year the fund donates up to $5000 for not-for-profit organisations and up to $1000 for individuals.
Cazalys marketing manager Karen Adams said that it’s a much-needed cash injection each year.
The Community Fund was launched in 2008 and makes significant donations to charities, community groups, health, artistic and support groups, and individuals.
“A total of $350,000 has been injected into the community since it started,” Ms Adams said.
She said that the community groups who had received funding had been too numerous to recall.
“Every year 16 to 20 groups receive funding,” she said.
