BROTHERS VS BITS
Grand final replays are always much anticipated games and this one will be no different. BITS will be looking to get some sort of revenge for last year's grand final defeat while Brothers will be looking to prove that they cannot be written off just yet.
The 2 teams could not have had any more contrasting starts to the season, BITS have dominated the opposition in all 4 games so far this year while Brothers were able to scrap their way to their first win last week having been very competitive in the other games.
The Brothers defence will know they will be in for a tough day, but will be confident that they can contain the Saints forwards. Brothers' fullback Tom Granleese is probably the one player that can match it with John Beirouti. The key will be for Brothers to restrict the midfield supply and generate enough scoring opportunities themselves.
Prediction: BITS by 37 points
PANTHERS VS GLADSTONE
Even though the season is only approaching 5 games old, who ever wins this one will still be in the hunt for playing finals football this year while the other teams season may well be over. Gladstone has shown glimpses of what they are capable of this year however consistency over 4 quarters has been missing. Panthers would consider they were unlucky to have not come away with the points last week and will be quietly confident of a win on the vast expanses of their home ground.
If Gladstone travel near full strength then they are a real chance coming away with the win, but once again it will take 4 quarters. Panthers proved last week that they will not go away and should be able to match Gladstone with leg speed. Expect a tight contest, with the Panthers experience in key positions providing them with the edge.
Prediction: Panthers by 5 points
GLENMORE VS YEPPOON
Another mouth-watering contest with the winner taking outright 2nd spot on the ladder and probably claim that they will be the side to challenge BITS this year. Expect some heat in this one as well with former Glenmore Bulls, then Yeppoon Swans, now Glenmore Bulls again, Shayne Fowler lining up against his former team mates for the first time.
The midfield clash will be one to watch with both sides have class and speed there. Glenmore will consider their bigger forwards as an advantage, however the undersize Yeppoon defence have proven to be hard to crack in every game so far this year.
The open spaces on Stenlake park will suite both teams quick run and play-on style, which should provide for a highly entertaining game for the crowd.
Prediction: Yeppoon by 17 points
