ADRIAN PETRIE- UNDER 21 METRO MALE REF OF THE YEAR

The Victorian Basketball Referees Association (VBRA) conducted their annual AGM on Sunday 24th March at the Nunawading Stadium.

An important task at the AGM is to make the annual VBRA awards to those referees who have made a significant impact on officiating during 2012.

The VBRA are very mindful of recognising and rewarding those referees whose outstanding achievements and contributions to officiating in Victoria is made, and as a result have established a tradition of presenting the awards at the VBRA AGM.

 All of the awards are named after a former VBRA referee whom has made an outstanding contribution to officiating and basketball in Victoria over a number of years. The 2012 Award winners are listed below.

Henry Perazzo Award - Male Referee of the Year

Michael Aylen (Nunawading)

Wally Pattison Award - Female Referee of the Year

Kellie Knight (Country - Southern Peninsula)

Paul Whiltshire Award - Senior Panel Referee of the Year

Daniel Banik (Dandenong)

Bob Scott Award - Country Referee of the Year

Brodie McLachlan (Warragul)

Les Dick Award - Under 21 Metro Male Referee of the Year

Adrian Petrie (Diamond Valley)

Ron Burgess Award - Under 21 Metro Female Referee of the Year

Gemma Terrill (Knox)

Rod Bush Award - Under 21 Country Male Referee of the Year

Lachie Saines (Wodonga)

Gail & Jimmy Ralph Award - Under 21 Country Female Referee of the Year

Alexandria Earl (Maryborough)
