Diamond Valley Senior Championship Women’s player & AIS graduate, Carly Turner has just arrived back in Australia after a whirl wind visit to the sunny campus of St Mary’s in Moraga, California. Turner who only recently decided on a College pathway visited St Mary’s with her father Glenn and has verbally committed to the Gaels for season 2014 / 15.

“The coaches at St Mary’s were fantastic to deal with, honest in their appraisal and did not screw around once they decided on Carly. They recognized flaws in her game and promised to help educate, teach and develop her as an individual as well as a basketball player “ – Alan McAughtry.
“Deciding on a College was a whirlwind experience but I realized half way through my visit that I didn’t need to look any further. The girls and coaching staff were incredible people, the college campus is beautiful and the basketball program is top class. Having some Aussies there already is an added bonus as it provides a small taste of home on the other side of the world “ – Carly Turner
