VOLUNTEERS AND SPONSORS NIGHT

Association

On Saturday night, prior to the SCM tip off at Community Bank Stadium, DVBA took the opportunity to acknowledge and thank all those who have assisted us in moving the Association forward, our valued sponsors and volunteers.

Sponsorship is imperative to any basketball association. Diamond Valley Basketball recognizes the importance of and necessity for strong partnerships with sponsors for the continuation, enhancement and future development of our association and the sport of basketball.

To define a volunteer - a person who voluntarily offers himself or herself for a service or undertaking. A person who performs a service willingly and without pay.

Volunteering has a meaningful, positive impact on our community. Volunteering is ultimately about helping others and having an impact on people’s wellbeing. What better way is there to connect with your community and give a little back? Fundamentally, volunteering is about giving your time, energy and skills freely.

The Diamond Valley Basketball Association consists of more than 4,500 members. It sees Junior Domestic Basketball played Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons and all day Saturday with Senior Domestic activity Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. The Association is represented by 38 Diamond Valley Eagles Junior Teams competing in the VJBL and four Senior Eagles Representative Teams playing in the Big V. It has well in excess of 100 Referees, 20 Domestic Clubs, its own tribunal and many fantastic supporters.

The people we are recognising have been invaluable to the Association on numerous levels, from volunteering at Junior Domestic clubs, working endlessly grading competitions each season, chairing the Diamond Valley Tribunal and running events and committees for a range of programs.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
