YARRAMBAT PHANTOMS INVESTING IN THEIR COACHES
On Sunday 26th November at Community Bank Stadium, our Director of Coaching Alan McAughtry held an educational coaching session for our local domestic club Yarrambat Phantoms.
The clinic was an on-court session with the U/10 Boys 1 team, covering skills such as passing, dribbling with vision, mastering the four pivots and shooting.
“ One of the most pleasing things is to see younger and older coaches taking the time out to learn more for the purpose to pass on to the young children playing the game. It is a big responsibility and commitment and I am sure somewhere along the line, one or more will get the coaching bug and go on to coach for many years to come.
I look forward to visiting more clubs in 2018 and working with children and coaches of the DVBA. Special thanks to Cheryl Jamieson for arranging this at such short notice and being so enthusiastic about coach and player development.“
