Big V Home Opener!
Big V basketball finally returns to the Valley for 2018, in a massive double header for our VYCW and VYCM!
Our VYCW will kick off the night against the Hume City Broncos. Coming off a strong win against Nunawading, the Eagles are excited to show the home fans the same sort of form! Amelia Smith had a double-double last week, and will be looking to put up big numbers again for the Youth Women. As for the Broncos, they are coming off a tough loss in round 1 and no doubt will be looking to make a statement this week.
The VYCM are up next against the Blackburn Vikings. The Vikings had 2 losses next to their name after round 1, and will not want to make that 3 to start the 2018 season. For the Eagles, it was a bitter pill to swallow last week, down on numbers but never giving in coming up just short against Nunawading. A lot of positives were taken out of the game by the team, as they were able to stick with the 2017 Runners-Up with only 9 players available. Look for Dylan Dunstan to come out and make a statement after what was a quiet round 1 by his standards!
