Youth League Round 10 Preview
It is a Sunday afternoon double-header for our youht League Men and Women, as the Altona Gators come to the Valley!
Victoria Youth Championship Women
The VYCW split last weekend against tough competition, knocking off ladder leaders – Ringwood Hawks. This week they face the Altona Gators, who have been flying so far in 2018, having only lost 2 games! The Gators have great depth, with no player currently averaging more than 9 points! Slowing their ability to share the ball will be a focus for the Eagles. Ivana Vasiljevic and Mikayla Peterson will be looking for another strong performance, both having great seasons!
Victorian Youth Championship Men
The Youth Men also face Altona, who are hungry for a win. Sitting one spot above our Eagles, with 2 wins for the season, this matchup will be a physical contest as both teams hope to change their season around! Coach Cotter will have to focus on slowing down Dogukan Elyazar and Jeremy Edwards, who both averaged 16 points. Bailey Van Hout has been welcomed back to the Eagles, currently home from College, and will be looking to make an impact for his team.
