DV SCHOOLS PROGRAM RETURNS TO WATTLE GLEN PRIMARY

The DV Schools Program made its return to work with the students of Wattle Glen Primary School last week, continuing it’s association with the school.

As always, the Wattle Glen students are huge into Basketball, with many athletes playing locally with the Wattle Glen Breakers and after our visits – a number of others wanting to join up !

The students took part in sessions that centered around coordination patterns, fundamentals and then the meshing of those 2 things with added problem solving and game sense. Watching the students learn and find their way was very rewarding !

We would like to thank Sara Simmons, Wattle Glen Primary School and the students for having us back to share the game with you – we always look forward to your enthusiasm !

Looking forward to seeing you lining up for the mighty Breakers soon !

If you would like your local primary school to become involved in the FREE DV Schools Program where we visit your school and share the game in your P.E sessions, or to book return visits for schools already participating – contact DVBA Community Development Officer, Mark Alabakov at mark@dvbasketball.com.au to get the ball rolling !

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
