The VYCW struggled to compete against the size of Knox, dropping their 5th game of the year. The Raiders dominated the rebound count, nearly doubling the Eagle’s total. Ivana Vasiljevic led the team with 14 points, while Mikayla Peterson had 13 of her own.

A 27 to 12 3rd quarter for the VYCM was a major factor in their win against the Raiders at home Saturday night. The Eagles had a slow start, down by over 15 points in the 1st quarter, before chipping away at the lead in the 2nd term. Dylan Dunstan had a stand out in game in his last appearance for 2018, with 27 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
SEABL Women
Eagles 85 def. Melbourne Tigers 73
The Eagles can credit a hot start against the Tigers, leading to the win and jumping into 8th spot on the ladder! Diamond Valley got out by as much 21 points before the Tigers were able to cut the margin in the 4th quarter. The Eagles had 4 players get to double figures in scoring, led by Lauren Scherf and Abi Wehrung, who had 20 points each.
SEABL Men
Eagles 88 def. Melbourne Tigers 78
The Eagles knocked off Melbourne, in a tight game that went down to the wire. There were 9 lead changes in the last quarter, before some cool shooting from the free throw line by the Eagles sealed the win. Mike best had 23 points and 11 rebounds, while Darcy Harding, Dyson King-Hawea and Daniel Camps all got into double figures in scoring.
