AFL Mackay boundary umpire Ryan Villalba (pictured), added another string to his bow after receiving the 13-15years Queensland School Sport AFL Boys, Best Boundary Umpire at the recent State Championships on the Sunshine Coast.
Year 12 Mackay North State High School student, Ryan continues to impress in the umpire ranks both locally and across the State.
Last year (2015), Ryan ran the boundary in the Gold Coast SUNS and Sydney Swans reserves NEAFL match at Harrup Park on Anzac Day, officiated numerous Division 1 men's matches along with North Queensland and Queensland Championships.
This weekend, Umpire will officiate in the field with fellow Umpire Mackay umpire Rory Tarlinton at the Under 14 Queensland Academy Championships in Airlie Beach.
Adding to his ever growing list of accolades, Ryan along with fellow Umpires, Logan Milligan and Jack Booth have been selected to officiate at the upcoming Australian School Sport AFL Championships in July.
