Reigning back-to-back champions Norwood made light work of Sturt on Saturday night, cruising to a comfortable 36-point victory to open their 2014 season.
After a year away from the club, Norwood welcomed back 2012 premiership players Kelsey Ireland and Rachel Herrick, adding 17 points and 14 rebounds between them.
While a new look Sturt line showed serious aggression on offence, they failed to capitalise on their inside shooting, converting only 28% from the field.
There were certainly no signs of a premiership hangover for the flames, leading the match at every change, proving to the competition, they’re the team to beat.
