Eagle Men Take Down Warriors
Forestville Eagles (97) defeated Woodville Warriors (84)
The Forestville Eagles have recorded their second victory of the season in a 13 point win over the Woodville Warriors at home on Sunday afternoon.
The Warriors were in front for most of the game, with a 6 point lead at half time. Eagles made a charge late in the third quarter and started the fourth with a 3 point lead. Eagles steadied and extended their lead out to 13 points in the final quarter.
Trent Fildes shone for the Eagles, with a game high 46 points, including 9 from 10 three point shots. From his 37 minutes on court. Fildes also collected 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals. Trent was supported by Jake Rios with 16 points and Kyle Howe-Tipene with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.
Alex Starling delivered another stand out performance for Woodville with a team high of 26 points. He also collected a game high 19 rebounds, along with 3 assists and 3 steals. Starling’s efforts helped the Warriors to lead the rebounds count, 45 to 30. Luke Stanbridge was next best for the Warriors with 16 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals and an assist.
