Sabres Men Continue To Win
Sturt Sabres (88) defeated North Adelaide Rockets (69)
The Sturt Sabres have defeated the North Adelaide Rockets 88-69 on Saturday night at Pasadena continuing their unbeaten start to the season.
After losing twice last season to the Rockets, the Sabres have bounced back this year and served the Rockets 19 point defeat, moving them to the bottom the ladder.
Tim Klaosen was the star of the night with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists while Dexter Moore top scored for Sturt with 17.
John Wernham finished the game with a double a double with 14 points and 10 rebounds and team mate Pero Vasiljevic was short 1 rebound for a double double with 10 points and 9 rebounds.Daniel Goodluck top scored for the game with 24 points.
Sturt started the game strong scoring 33 points in the first quarter to the Rockets 11. By half time, the home side had extended their lead out to 30 points and the chance of a blowout was looming.
However North Adelaide bounced back in the second half, outscoring the Sabres 42-31 but they were unable to overcome their first half deficit.
Turnovers were the real killer for North Adelaide who gifted Sturt 15 extra points from 18 turnovers.
