Flames Win Again!
South Adelaide Panthers (49) lost to Norwood Flames (79)
The Norwood Flames have won their 28th game in a row by defeating the South Adelaide Panthers at Marion on Saturday.
The home team struggled to catch a break in the first quarter scoring just 5 points to the Flames 22. The Flames defence was as tough as their attack as they poured on the pressure early. The Panthers found their feet and wriggled free in the second, slowing the Flames flow and even matching their score in the third quarter. The 22 point deficit as they headed into the final period proved too much to overcome despite a solid second half performance for South. The Flames asserted themselves in the last minutes and finished 30 points up.
Teresa Kinross continues to shine for the Panthers with 16 points and 8 rebounds this week. Team-mates Jess Mahony (7 points, 9 rebounds & 6 assists) and Janae Howard (9 ponts and 10 rebounds) also made an impact.
For the Flames, Jess Foley led the match with 21 points, she also tallied 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 6 steals. Amy Lewis also put out a strong all rounder performance with 17 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals.
