Mavs Men Win First for 2014!
North Adelaide Rockets (74) lost to Eastern Mavericks (83)
Nothing has changed for the Rockets or the Mavericks after this week's clash, (the Rockets are still 9th and the Mavs are still 10th) except that the Mavericks have their first win on the board for 2014!
The Rockets played a strong game throughout the night but foul trouble pushed them off course. Four key players fouled out for North Adelaide and the Mavericks capitalised scoring 27 points from 37 free throws.
The Mavericks wanted this win badly and shared the court time to get it. Their bench stepped up adding 42 points to the final tally led by player coach Will Smith who scored 17 points. Dylan Shorne proved handy with a double double shooting 13 goals and pulling down10 rebounds.
Luke Mapunda for the Rockets and Curtis Scipio for the Mavericks tied for the nights top score with 20 points each.
