Rockets Succeed At Marion
South Adelaide Panthers (65) lost to North Adelaide Rockets (89)
Nothing has changed for either team with South still in 7th and North still in 9th after their Round 8 clash at Marion.
North and South traded the lead for the first half of the game but in a powerful third quarter for the Rockets dominated the boards and managed to pull away to a 19 point lead heading into the last period. The Panthers played hard in the final stanza but North defended their margin and added 5 points to their total in the end.
Brad Reid made a double double for the Panthers with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Shane Boal also played well with 16 points and 4 assists.
Luke Mapunda ( 22 points, 9 rebounds), Pero Vasiljevic (18 points, 8 rebounds) and John Wernham (14 points, 9 rebounds) were a frce to e reckoned with for the Rockets.
