Warriors Lose Top Spot

Woodville Warriors (76) lost to Norwood Flames (90)

The Woodville Warriors have slipped from top spot after their loss to the Norwood Flames at St Clair on the weekend.

The Warriors held the lead for a brief three minutes early in the first quarter but the Flames quickly snatched it back and held on to it until the end. The home team were impressive on the boards pulling down 42 rebounds and making 14 second chance points compared to Norwood's 4. However some confident 3 point shooting led by Ian O'Boyle made the difference for the Flames in what was a comfortable 14 point win for Norwood.

Warrior's Alex Starling top scored with 24 points, he also led rebounds with 15. Norwood's team effort with 5 players scoring in double figures complimented by 16 assists was impressive. Top scorer for the Flames was Matthew Lycett with 22 points.
