Quick Start Sealed The Win For The Eagles
Forestville Eagles (100) defeated Eastern Mavericks (80)
The Forestville Eagles recorded a strong team win over the Eastern Mavericks at Wayville on Saturday night.
An impressive quick start to the game gave the Eagles a lead that they didn’t lose throughout the entire game. With 10 points on the board after just 2 minutes, Forestville build on their lead throughout the game to win by 20 points.
The Eagles were sharper on the court, with only 11 rebounds compared to the Mavericks 22. Forestville also played well as a team with 27 assists.
Jake Rios was one of the best for the Eagles with 32 points. Rios also recorded 9 rebounds, 3 assists and a steal from 38 minutes on court.
Teammate Trent Fildes also recorded 9 rebounds to go along with his 24 points, 5 assists and 2 steals. Brad Gerlach collected 16 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals and 7 rebounds.
For the Mavericks, Curtis ScIpio and Darcy Aistrope both recorded 22 points. Aistrope was key under the basket and around the court with 10 rebounds and 2 steals. Giles Thomas also had 10 rebounds, along with 4 points and an assist.
With the win tied up, the Eagles were able to get some game time into a few players, including Mitchell Hilton, AJ Cheater and Oliver Megins.
