Sabres Win at Pasadena

Sturt Sabres (73) defeated South Adelaide Panthers (61)

The Sturt Sabres have moved up a notch in to 4th place on the ladder after they overcame the South Adelaide Panthers at Pasadena on Saturday.

After a tough and tight first quarter the Panthers were up by a point with both teams putting the pressure on in the key making shooting in the paint a struggle it was the Sabres who managed to sink some much needed 3's thanks to Dexter Moore and Jordan Heading pushing them out to an 8 point lead at half time.

It was a case of rinse and repeat in the third quarter as the Panthers struggled to find their shooting groove and their cohesion started to unravel. The Sabres added another 7 points to their lead as they entered the final period. Thomas Mackenzie and Shane Boal put together a strong effort.
