Men

North Adelaide Rockets (9-7) v West Adelaide Bearcats (11-5)

The Rockets will attempt to end a four game losing streak, when they host the Bearcats at Hillcrest, in the Match of the Round.

The Rockets had previously looked certain to return to the postseason, but back-to-back losses last weekend, against bottom three sides Centrals and Eastern, has opened up an opportunity for several sides to rise above them.

The Bearcats now have some breathing space in third, after producing a 47 point swing in upsetting Woodville on Saturday.

The Bearcats lead the season series 1-0.

Norwood Flames (13-3) v Sturt Sabres (8-8)

The Flames will continue their push for top spot when they meet the Sabres at Mars.

After overcoming South last round, the Flames have won seven straight, and now trail Woodville in first only on a tiebreaker.

With a double over Forestville and Centrals last weekend, the Sabres are finally back up to .500, and are in a tie for fifth with South – the Panthers currently hold the tiebreaker.

The Flames lead the season series 1-0.

Woodville Warriors (13-3) v Southern Tigers (1-15)

The Warriors will look to avoid back-to-back losses when they battle the Tigers at St Clair.

The Warriors lost to West in their last match, and could drop down to second spot if they lose.

The Tigers’ losing streak is up to 11 matches, following losses to Eastern and Forestville last weekend.

The Warriors lead the season series 1-0.

Central District Lions (4-12) v South Adelaide Panthers (8-8)

The Panthers will be hoping to rediscover their winning form, when they clash with the Lions at Starplex.

The Panthers had won eight of their last 10, prior to their loss to Norwood last Saturday.

The Lions split their weekend 1-1, upsetting North, before being blown out by Sturt.

The Panthers lead the season series 1-0.

Forestville Eagles (7-9) v Eastern Mavericks (6-10)

The Eagles and Mavericks will be looking to boost their finals hopes, when they go head-to-head at Wayville.

The Eagles are one game outside the top five, following a weekend that saw them thrashed by Sturt, before recovering for a win over Southern.

The Mavericks lost their first five games, but have gone 6-5 since, and are just two games below the five. They defeated Southern and North last weekend, increasing their winning streak to four games.

The Eagles lead the season series 1-0.
