Central Districts in upset win

Jack Johnson

In a match of high consequence, North Adelaide gave up 4th spot on the ladder succumbing to Central Districts by 11 points in a shock loss at Titanium Security Arena today.

The match was tight from the outset but North Adelaide appeared in control with Aric Miller enjoying a blistering start to the game. The Rockets’ star was everywhere and full of trademark trickery, but Centrals pulled level by the first break.

The Rockets lost control and confidence from the restart, and Centrals quickly got on top in every department.

Jordan Centenera was instrumental in the Lions’ momentum, providing strong drive and reliable finishing.

Alongside him Carlin Daniel filled the highlights reel with some strong plays from under the ring, including two impressive slam dunks, while Centrals’ rebound game was strong at both ends providing them with first hands to the ball.

As the Rockets lost momentum so did Miller, and a vocal Centrals’ crowd the added extra spice to an increasingly impressive performance.

The Lions were much more efficient going forward, and in particular their work inside the key proved the difference as they finished the match winners 78-67.
