McMath Leads Warrior Win

Woodville Warriors (90) defeated Southern Tigers (66)
 
The Woodville Warriors dismantled the Southern Tigers in a 24 point rout, winning 90-66 at St. Clair on Saturday night.
 
A defensive battle between Woodville and Southern turned into a Warriors clinic as the home side scored 18 unanswered points to give them a massive 15 point lead midway through the second quarter. Timothy Smyth and Matthew Williams brought the Tigers back to a 10 point deficit before the end of the first half.
 
However, the Warriors, opened the second half with a 10-0 run and had extended their lead to 25 with only one quarter to play after a 31-16 advantage in the third quarter.
 
Claybin McMath top-scored for the Warriors with 19 points to go along with his 6 rebounds. Alex Starling finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds and Darren Ng added 15.
 
The Tigers had 12 points each from Samuel Johns and Michael Florence, while Williams and Craig Catford both scored 10.
 
Woodville scored 22 points off turnovers as they had 14 steals compared to the Tigers' 5. The Warriors also had 14 second chance points as they had the edge on the offensive glass 15-7.
