Norwood Flames (13-0) v Southern Tigers (5-7)

The Tigers will try to end the Flames’ unbeaten streak for a third time, when they visit Mars. In Round 11, the Flames extended their winning run to 13 games, with a 64-56 triumph at West. In Round 12, the Tigers lost to the Sabres 54-65. The Flames’ previous two wins against the Tigers this year were by an average margin of 33 points.

 

West Adelaide Bearcats (5-8) v Sturt Sabres (8-4)

The Sabres will look to complete a series sweep of the Bearcats, in their Round 13 clash at Port Adelaide. The Sabres have also won their last two overall, including an 11 point success against Southern. In their most recent battle, the Bearcats downed Eastern by 27. The Sabres’ two wins over the Bearcats have been by a combined total of 18 points.

 

Woodville Warriors (8-5) v North Adelaide Rockets (9-3)

In the Match of the Round, the Warriors will be attempting a quick recovery from their shock loss to Centrals, when they face the Rockets at St Clair. Heading into their clash with Centrals, the Warriors were 8-4 and the Lions were winless. Yet, they went down by 12 points – a 46 point turnaround from their previous meeting with the league’s bottom side. In their most recent encounter, the Rockets held off Eastern 69-60. Last time they met, the Warriors were on the right side of a 41 point swing, defeating the Rockets by seven. The Rockets won the year’s earlier meeting my 34 points.

 

Eastern Mavericks (4-8) v Central District Lions (1-11)

The Mavericks will be hoping to keep their fading finals hopes alive, when they face off against the Lions. Since they last met the Lions, the Mavericks have lost five in a row. Their 62-89 loss to West marked a 43 point turnaround from their clash earlier this year. In an even bigger turnaround, the Lions upset Woodville 72-60. It was their first win since June 1 2013. The Mavericks have beaten the Lion twice this year, by an average margin of 34.5 points.

 

Forestville Eagles (3-9) v South Adelaide Panthers (6-7)

The Panthers can cement their place in the top five for another round, if they can defeat the Eagles at Wayville. The Panthers have dropped their last two, including a 53-71 loss to Woodville, prior to the June long weekend. The Eagles are in the midst of a difficult spell themselves, with their 51-68 loss to Southern making it three consecutive defeats. Success has been split between these clubs this season, with this series tied at 1-1.
