By James Woight

Eastern Mavericks (8-11) v Sturt Sabres (9-9)

The Sturt Sabres will attempt to end a four game losing streak, when they visit Eastern at Adelaide Hills.

The Sabres’ finals hopes were dealt a major blow, with a 36 point loss to South last Saturday.

The Sabres are now in sixth, although they have a game in hand on fifth ranked South.

South also damaged the Mavericks finals hopes, who lost by 27 to them last Sunday.

The Sabres lead the season series 1-0.

North Adelaide Rockets (13-5) v Forestville Eagles (6-12)

The Rockets can just about seal second spot, if they can defeat the Eagles at Hillcrest.

The Rockets earned a win at Southern last Saturday.

The Eagles, who are fighting to stay in the finals race, were defeated by Woodville on Sunday.

The Rockets lead the season series 1-0.

South Adelaide Panthers (9-10) v West Adelaide Bearcats (10-8)

In the Match of the Round, the Panthers’ finals hopes will be further boosted, if they can defeat the Bearcats at Marion.

The Panthers had a hugely successful weekend, thrashing fellow finals challengers Sturt and Eastern to rise from seventh to fifth on the ladder.

The Bearcats also got the result they desired, overcoming Centrals last Saturday.

The Panthers lead the season series 1-0.

Southern Tigers (5-13) v Central District Lions (2-16)

The Lions will look to build on their second half improvement, when they face the Tigers at Morphett Vale.

The Lions got to within three points of West last Saturday, a side that beat them by 46 points the previous time.

The Tigers fell to North last Saturday, which was their sixth consecutive defeat.

The Tigers lead the season series 1-0.

Woodville Warriors (11-7) v Norwood Flames (18-0)

The Warriors will almost certainly be playing finals this year, if they can defeat the Flames at St Clair.

The Warriors came away with a vital win at Forestville last Sunday.

The Flames stretched their unbeaten run to 18, thanks to their successful Saturday night at home to Eastern.

The Flames lead the season series 1-0.
