South have celebrated Phil Neals 350th in fine style with a 12 goals to 2 goal second half to defeat a bold West effort that saw them lead at half time. Neal demonstated his ability to perform on the big stage with a 3 goal BOG performance. Importantly key midfielders Marc Purcell and Bill Dolan were high up in the Roos best. Justin Spratt sent the selectors a clear message with a 5 goal performance.

West went into the game without 6 key players and whilst blown away in the 2nd half the return of Nelson, Blore & Milne is reason to stay positive they can match it with the contenders.

Centrals took the game up to North's in the first half to trail by just 10 points but were simply outclassed after the long break 6 goals to 1.

Former Pie Jacskson McInnes again was the key weapon in attack for the Bulldogs scoring 5 goals whilst key midfielder Jayden Kelly was BOG with 3 goals. A third Lionel Johnston Medal is a distinct possibility for Kelly who continues to be the architect of the North quest for back to back flags.

For Centrals its almost over, a season that promised plenty appears to be heading for back to back wooden spoons. Its a case that the CFC has improved but so has the other 3 Clubs!
