Great day for Bordertown Basketball

Through local fundraising, matched by a grant from Office for Recreation and Sport, Bordertown Basketball yesterday unveiled their new foyer on the eve of their summer season.

Local MP Mr. Tony Pasin and Basketball SA CEO Mark Hubbard joined SA Country President Bert Bargeus and Executive Officer Stuart Macdonald and the Bordertown Basketball community for the ceremony to congratulate Bordertown Basketball President Chris Jeffries and his team on their outstanding work.

During the ceremoney, Ray Cadd (former SA Country Basketball President) was presented with his SA Country Basketball life membership and SA Country Basketball 40th Anniversary Volunteer Certificate. These awards show the appreciation of SA Country for Ray and his work over many years.

Following the ceremony, the new foyer (particularly the canteen) was tested out, while Bordertown played Naracoorte in an exhibition men's game and a junior shooting contest was held.

Congratulations to Ray and everyone involved with Bordertown Basketball.
