ACJBC Life Membership - Beth Serle & Sharon Venn

In the 30 year history of the Cup there has only been one Life Membership awarded which is to Mr Max Brisbane from Victoria. Two more have now been added to the list.

The first person is Beth Serle from South Australia.

Beth who comes from Mount Gambier has been associated with the Cup for 30 years.

Beth until this year was the Cup Administration Manager whose role was to run the admin office, manage the Volunteers, Chairs the State Managers meeting and in general ensures that games run to the games roster.

Beth's home Association is Mount Gambier where she has been extremely active in local administration and SEABL Men's team.

Beth is a Life Member of the South Australian Country Basketball and Basketball SA where she has given many years of active service.

The Cup Under 16 Women's trophy is named after her name in recognition of her efforts

The second recipient is Sharon Venn, also from South Australia.

Sharon was not able to be at the Cup to receive her Life Membership so it was accepted by Beth Serle on her behalf . Sharon along with Beth is a long serving volunteer for the Cup as an administrator and has worked in tandem with Beth for many years.

She has also been heavily involved with SA Country Basketball for many years as well as in her home Association of Mount Gambier.

The Cup Directors congratulate Beth and Sharon on their Life Membership and thank them sincerely for their efforts over many years at the Cup. It is only through the committed efforts of volunteers such as Beth and Sharon that the Cup has been able to flourish and be managed in such a professional way.
