The 2015 National Junior Classic will be held this Queen's Birthday long weekend and some of the best junior basketball in the country will be in show at venues around Melbourne.

The Classic is an invitation only tournament, with the best 8 teams in the VJBL Victorian Junior Championship (4 per VC pool) and the best 8 teams from interstate junior competitions invited to particpate at each age level for both boys and girls - U12, U14, U16 and U18.

The Classic is probably the most prestigious tournament on the junior basketball calendar outside of the National Championships.

The Bulleen Boomers have a proud history of success at the Classic and any team that comes away with the title at the Classic have memories that will last a lifetime.

This year we have fabulous representation at the Classic with 8 teams qualifying - boys U12-1, U14-1 and U16-1, with girls U12-1, U14-1, U16-1, U18-1 and U18-2. A special mention for the girls U18-2 team, it's always an amazing effort for a second team to qualify for the Classic - well done girls.

And a reminder of venue changes for this year, with the following venues hosting the respective age groups:

• U12/U14 boys and girls - Dandenong Basketball Stadium (Dandenong)
• U16 boys and girls - Sandringham Basketball Stadium (Cheltenham)
• U18 boys and girls - State Basketball Centre (Wantirna)
