A concussion is a type of traumatic brain injury, or TBI, caused by a bump, blow, or jolt to the head that can change the way your brain normally works. This workshop provides a basic understanding of concussion and spinal cord injuries for coaches, parents and administrators.
The workshop covers recognising the signs and symptoms and management of concussion and spinal cord injuries. Demonstrations include how to move a casualty with suspected concussion and /or spinal injuries and the precautions necessary for the transportation of casualties with suspected concussion and/or spinal injuries.
