The Brisbane Lions will be on the Sunshine Coast Thursday May 8, inspiring up and coming footballers in the region.
Three AFL Sunshine Coast Junior Clubs will host the Lions from 4pm undertaking various activities including the Specky Mat and a visit from Bernie GABBA Vegas.
AFL Sunshine Coast Regional Manager, Paul Tresise said that the Lions Player Appearances on the Coast are integral to AFL development on the Coast.
"Having the Brisbane Lions boys up on the Coast is a great way for our region to get amongst the footy action and be able to meet professional footballers," Tresise said.
"It is a great initiative and the Lions boys are always really good with the kids whether it is having a kick, taking a photo or signing a jumper."
The Lions will be at Kawana Park Junior Australian Football Club at Kawana Waters State College, Nicklin Way from 4pm with Hot FM 91.1 doing a live broadcast from 3-6pm.
The Hot FM 91.1 promotion team will also be on sight to mingle with the Lions boys and the AFL Sunshine Coast community.
More of the Lions will be at North Shore Junior Australian Football Club at North Shore Multi-Sports Complex from 4pm with plenty of activities for everyone to get involved with.
Another group of Lions will be at Pomona Demons Australian Football Club at Reserve Street Pomona from 4pm with AFL Queensland Development Coordinator, Michael Hyndman on sight with heaps of fun activities for all.
The Brisbane Lions have also donated a leadership group signed 2014 Lions jumper to all three hosting clubs for a giveaway on the afternoon at all three clubs but you have to be in it to win it.
