Successful performance on a team and individual level at this event provides GPS school boys with an opportunity to progress through the representative Football pathway that exists within Queensland.

Nominations for players and appointments for coaching and team management positions will be finalised after Round 9  for this prestigious representative team to participate in the annual AIC vs GPS 1^st XI Football Match.

The Selection criteria for players is based on each school’s position after Round 9:

1^st                           entitled to 3 selections

2^nd – 5^th                 entitled to 2 selections

6^th – 9^th                 entitled to 1 selection

In the event of a tied Premiership, an extending squad is selected - that is both/ all 1^st Schools have 3 players.

The GPS Combined 1^st XI Football Representative Team Staff positions of Coach and Manager are selected following the end of Round 9 of the season. The school leading the competition after this round will be responsible for the appointment of the Team Staff from within their school’s personnel, or negotiating alternative staff from within other GPS schools.
